1) Origin & Nature of Purchase
All international orders from LADURRIE are shipped from Brazil. Therefore, they are subject to import procedures and charges in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
👉 In each country, import duties, tariffs, taxes, and clearance fees are the sole responsibility of the customer (importer/recipient).
2) Shipping & Tracking

Orders are shipped via DHL Express, with full tracking from dispatch to delivery.

DHL may contact the customer via email, phone, or SMS if import charges must be settled before release.

Payment of duties and taxes is made directly to DHL.

LADURRIE does not collect or process these charges.
3) Country-Specific Rules
United States

Since August 6, 2025, an additional 40% tariff applies to Brazilian-origin goods.

The U.S. has ended the de minimis exemption, so nearly all imports may be taxed, regardless of value.
Canada

Imports are subject to GST/HST and may incur additional duties depending on product type.

Low-value shipments are not automatically exempt.
Australia

A 10% GST applies to all imports, with no minimum value.

Additional duties may apply depending on classification.
United Kingdom

A 20% VAT applies to most imported goods, regardless of value.

Additional duties may apply based on category and value.
4) Free Gifts, Promotions & “No-Cost” Items

Free gifts, promotions, and samples (even marked as $0 on the invoice) may be taxed based on their fair market value.

Commercial orders with gifts do not qualify for limited “gift” exemptions.
5) Invoicing & Declared Value

LADURRIE always declares the full amount paid by the customer.

Free items (gifts/samples) are declared at market value.

We do not under-declare or split invoices.

This ensures compliance with international customs laws.
6) Refusal to Pay Duties / Returns

If the customer does not pay duties, the order may be:

Held until deadline;
-
Returned to Brazil;

Abandoned or destroyed by customs.

If returned:

Refunds cover only the product value, after inspection.

We will deduct: shipping (both ways), packaging, administrative fees, and customs/storage charges.
If abandoned/destroyed:

No refund will be issued.
7) Pre-Purchase Notice
Important — International Orders:

8) FAQ — quick answers
“I already paid for the product, why should I pay more?”
→ The price includes product + shipping only. Duties are charged by customs via DHL.
“I didn’t know it was imported.”
→ All orders are shipped from Brazil and therefore subject to importation.
“Why was my free gift taxed?”
→ Customs may assign market value to gifts/samples and apply duties.
“Can you declare a lower value?”
→ No. We declare the full paid value and, for gifts, their market value.
“If I don’t pay, can I cancel?”
→ Refusal results in return or abandonment. If returned, refund minus costs. If abandoned, no refund.
“Why did DHL ask me for payment?”
→ Because customs applied duties. Payment goes directly to DHL, never to LADURRIE.
